"The Spirit of the Lord is on Me,
because He has anointed Me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent Me
to proclaim freedom to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free the oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Deborah Brodeur

Debbie Brodeur began attending Sunday School at EBBC as a child and was baptized in the church in 1964. In 1996, she was employed in a Human Resources/Staffing position at a busy high-tech corporation. This was a very meaningful and challenging position for her, and she enjoyed working with and helping others.

When the position was eliminated in a downsizing, she began a journey of seeking more education with the goal of becoming a paralegal. During this time, she was asked to consider filling the church administrative position, but she continued on with the pursuit of securing a legal position. However, it seemed that God had prepared plans for her that she was unaware of! After much prayer, she eventually felt that the Lord was calling her to this position, and confirmation of this resulted after reading a devotional based on Isaiah 6.

Debbie has been employed in EBBC’s administrative position since January, 2005, and it continues to be a blessing to her to serve the Lord and others in caring ministries and as the church administrator.
